Power Rangers review: The Power Rangers and other heroes
  • On August 28, 1993, the interdimensional being named Zordon chose Jason, Billy, Zack, Trini, and Kimberly to become Earth's first POWER RANGERS. Ever since that day, the world has been saved over and over again by many different individuals who were chosen to carry on the legacy of the Power Rangers. They've even received some help from other heroes.
Here is a review of every person who became Power Rangers and other heroes.

What do you Power Ranger fans think of all these brave individuals?

  • Do Mike Corbett (Magna Defender II) and Alex (Time Force Red Ranger I) count as Power Rangers?
  • PRThunder said:

Do Mike Corbett (Magna Defender II) and Alex (Time Force Red Ranger I) count as Power Rangers?

Alex yes. Mike no. Mike's powers as the Magna Defender were from a Ranger-like ally. Alex was the first Red Time Force ranger before he was wounded by Ransik and his powers were sent to Wes by the other Time Force rangers.
  • @vgiannell5 that is true.
Let's not forget that many people wore a Ranger suit, but that did not necessarily make them "Power Rangers". Many sources don't consider Alex the Red Time Force Ranger even though he was the original one. He's considered to be a "supporting character". Kat Manx from SPD used a morpher to be Kat Ranger, yet she's mostly considered a supporting character. On the other hand, Udonna from Mystic Force was White Ranger for about 6 episodes, she's mostly considered a Power Ranger.
Some fans would say that when the Magna Defender gave Mike his powers, then the Magna Defender's form became a Ranger form. When Leanbow became the Wolf Warrior, the suit had the appearance of Koragg (a villain), but it was considered a Power Ranger form.
Details like these make it hard to tell.
As Sky (Blue SPD Ranger) said to Jack (SPD Red Ranger) "You may be wearing red, but you're not a leader". See my point?
  • It's gonna be good to see the powers all these guys had in one season. If Troy can unlock all the Battlizers, that would be awesome. I can't believe 20 years of Power Ranger power can be accessed through a new form. This makes the Super Mega mode the most powerful mode ever, the Legendary Morphers the most powerful morphers ever, and the Legendary Megazord the most powerful megazord ever. For years we thought so many Ranger powers were lost forever, but they were never completely destroyed. They were in the Ranger Keys. Those Ranger Keys are the keys to bringing back all the Rangers ever created. All these past Rangers and heroes would be amazed.

  • On this day, April 5, 2013, another part of Power Ranger history has been made. A new Power Ranger is born and ready to fight the Warstar Armada and other evil beings. Meet
    ORION the SILVER MEGAFORCE RANGER

    image
    image

Here's his story. He's from the planet Andrasia. Andrasia was a lot like Earth. Orion worked as a miner in a quarry not far from his home. He discovered the Silver Morpher and Key in a crystal buried in rocks, but told noone of his discovery. A week later, his home planet was attacked and destroyed by the Warstar Armada. Orion swore vengeance and activated the Silver Ranger powers. He spent months trying to survive since he was the last of his people. When he was ready to fight the Armada, he caused an Armada fighter to land, so he could steal it and chase the Armada. He eventually caught up to them on Earth.
  • We sure have got a lot of brave people. Over 100 Power Rangers in the last 21 years. Can't wait to see them when the Mega War (aka Legend War) happens. It'll be nice to see every single one of them fighting side by side against the Warstar Armada. I wonder who will be the villain leading the forces that will be responsible for the biggest battle ever to happen.
  • Anybody remember this Power Ranger toy from when we had Power Rangers Dino Thunder on TV?
This one was called "Phantom Ranger" (even though the name was already taken back in PRT).
    image

Who think that this toy should be made into an actual Power Ranger?
It would be just like what they did with the Spirit Rangers in PRJF.

For those of you who are still trying to build him, here's some help.
    Red Ranger's Blaster= Left arm
Blue Ranger's Blaster = Right arm
Yellow Ranger's Cannon= Left hand weapon, chest, and backpack
Black Rangers's Double Cannon= Torso and upper part of legs
    White Ranger's Glider= Phantom Ranger's glider
Triassic Ranger's Dual Sabers= Lower legs and feet

On November 22, 2014, The Power Rangers Megaforce engage in their final battle with Emperor Mavro and his entire Armada. They are joined by all the Power Rangers that preceded them in the past 20 years. They came from different cities, planets, galaxies, dimensions, tiimes, etc, for this one big event. Every single Power Ranger came together to battle evil in a fight that will be known as the Legendary Battle (aka Mega War aka Ranger War aka Legendary War).
    May the power live on.
    GO GO POWER RANGERS!!!

  • It's almost February. Soon we'll be adding new faces to the list of Power Rangers. It'll be interesting to see what Power Rangers Dino Charge will be like. Their powers will undoubtedly be added to Gosei's collection of Ranger Keys.
  • @PRThunder First I do want to point out that Brad Hawkins was always the voice of the Treys and the Gold Ranger not just only in their first appearances... the only instance that he likely wasn't was the Gold Ranger's appearances in Countdown to Destruction.

In the case of Mike and Alex I do believe they do count, the definition of a Ranger is all based on one's opinion since the show has never described what a Ranger is or should be... if the Phantom is a Ranger then ones such as Mike, Daggeron and Leanbow should be considered as such as well.

Very true in regards to Alex. I do consider him a Ranger regardless of how long he was a Ranger on-screen for same goes for Kat Manx and Nova Ranger.

It actually would've been nice if we had gotten more cool stuff from Super Megaforce such as previous Super Modes and previous Battlizers... as well as various other weapons that we did not see... not to mention previous villains as well.
  • I agree with you MattEmily

To have the the Megaforce Rangers in Super Mega mode morphs into past Rangers as well as their Super modes and their Battlizer modes would made the season even cooler. As for the villains, I think bringing them back would destroy the work from the past, but if during the episodes where the Megaforce Ranger teamed up with past Rangers or encountered something having to do with the past seasons, they have montage-flashbacks that show some of the things that happened in a previous season (fights, morphs, villains, zords, etc), that would have been awesome.

BTW about the information about Brad Hawkins with Trey and the Gold Ranger, I found that on the internet, so if it's incorrect can you show me the evidence of your information?
  • @PRThunder it depends on the related villains. Ones like Master Vile or Rito for example you can or rather could explain away as the wave not hitting them because they were in the M-51 Galaxy and the wave couldn't reach that far. In the case of seasons following Space it really makes no difference since it wouldn't destroy the work from the past it would just take care of loose ends. I mean we still have Impostra from Lost Galaxy that for all we know is still alive. We also know that Octoroo and Sharkjaw are the only known Nighlok that are still alive as well.

yes I agree flashbacks would have been awesome.

yes I can in the case of evidence (unfortunately it's just fan-based evidence but if you listen to Trey carefully you can tell it's Brad regardless of the form) but so far all I can use is SirStack's old Power Rangers Spoiler Warnings site. IMDb and Wikipedia are unreliable sources so I won't use them as evidence.

Here's how he credits Brad on his site.

-Brad Hawkins _AS_ Trey, The Gold Ranger [406-412, 415, 417, 430]

That shows he was always the voice regardless of the form in the episodes of The Power of Gold, A Small Problem, Oily to Bed Only to Rise, Rock A Bye Rangers, Do I Know You, Revelations of Gold, A Golden Homecoming, Scent of a Weasel, Lore of Auric and Good as Gold.
  • Dino Charge has ended it's first season well.
8 Energems, 8 Power Rangers, 9 zords. Dino Charge definitely got wild.
  • Well now Dino Super Charge is stronger than ever. Now they have Power Rangers, 9 Energems, and still have 9 zords.
Now there's only one more Energem to find, and one more Ranger to create.
  • All 10 Energems are found.
    All 10 Rangers are active.
    All 10 zords are awake.
Question is, who is this Dino Charge Silver Ranger from space?

An alien named Zenowing who also happens to be the apprentice of Keeper and the creator of the Dino Charge Zords.
  • The Ninja Steel Gold Ranger is full of surprises beyond Ranger powers, weapons, and zords. So Levi Weston is actually Aiden Romero, the brother of Brody Romero (Red Ninja Steel Ranger) who took the name "Levi Weston" to hide himself from Galvanax. This is a first for Power Rangers.
I mean we had a two-name situation with Nick/Bowen (Mystic Force Red Ranger), but that was a different scenario.
This is quite a nice surprise. Wonder what other kinds of scenarios might be thrown our way on Power Rangers in the modern day.
  • The source of the Ninja Steel's power is incredible. The Ninja Nexus Prism contained can consciously choose the protectors of it's Ninja Power Stars, protects those who are hurt defending it for years to come, provide the owners of the Ninja Power Stars with their desires (magic for Preston for example), can create zords with magic, can turn broken pieces of its Ninja Power Stars into more stars which allows more chosen warriors to join.
I cannot believe it. The Ninja Nexus Prism is undoubtedly an epic object.
Speaking of turning "broken pieces of its Ninja Power Stars into more stars which allows more chosen warriors to join", where we had one red Ranger, the Ninja Nexus Prism made two more. Now we have Brody the Red Ninja Steel Ranger, Mick the Red-Silver Ninja Steel Ranger, and Dane the Red-Gold Ninja Steel Ranger. How incredible is that?

  • Talk about a long line of Power Rangers.
